Exploring The Music Of David Gilmour: The Gilmour Project Announces Live Stream Performance

The Gilmour Project

Acclaimed musicians Jeff Pevar (CSN, David Crosby, Phil Lesh, Ray Charles), Kasim Sulton (Utopia, Meatloaf, Blue Oyster Cult), Prairie Prince (The Tubes, Todd Rundgren, Jefferson Starship, Phil Lesh), Mark Karan (Bob Weir, RatDog, The Other Ones), and Scott Guberman (Phil Lesh), are ready to emerge out of quarantine and represent the iconic music of Pink Floyd's David Gilmour in The Gilmour Project.

Going beyond improvisational while remaining faithful to Pink Floyd's musical touchstones, classic hooks, licks and musical compositions, the five-piece, all-star band will make their debut with a live stream performance on June 24th at San Francisco, CA’s The Great American Music Hall.

As a descendent from the 2000 hit band Blue Floyd that both Pevar and Prince performed in, The Gilmour Project’s improvisational ‘jam gestalt’ of the legendary Blue Floyd, matched with Pink Floyd’s deep tracks, hits and fan favorites, and solo Gilmour gems makes this group a unique musical experience and sets them apart from any other traditional Pink Floyd cover band. Focusing on the Gilmour-led songs that compel exploration and improvisation, The Gilmour Project does not dismiss the iconic contributions of all five historic musicians that comprise the Pink Floyd complement, but explores the musical compositions of Gilmour's influence and musicianship in the band.

Tune in on June 24th at 7 p.m. PT for the debut live stream here. The first 500 live stream purchasers will receive the ECHOES OF BIRTH rehearsal mixtape download, chronicling the “birth" of The Gilmour Project. Additionally, all livestream purchasers will automatically receive first-tier access to VIP tickets for all January 2022 tour dates being announced June 20th.
